Progress report. 

C’mon, you should know me by now.

Sooooooo , I have been slacking in the waves department due to work & traveling. Not to mention leaving important items such as durags, brushes & waves grease all over the United States while traveling πŸ™„

Anyways, every second is a second chance.

So it’s been almost 3 months since the big chop and the start of this amazing journey. Here I am 3 months and several hours of brushing later. 😎 I think I am doing pretty good.

Most recently trying to get back in track I’ve been using 3 different methods to try and continue making gains.

COMPLETE brush sessions
Yes. COMPLETE brush sessions. Meaning 30 continuous minutes of brushing with different texture brushes. 10 minutes with a hard brush. 10 minutes with a medium brush. 10 minutes with a soft. At least twice a day, usually once after peel back in the morning and before the durag at night.

Combing my waves.
This method is somewhat still new to me and honestly I need to work on it to perfect it. But this method is helpful for weak sides, missed connections and stretching tight waves for corse hair wavers. This method is best during 4+ weeks into a wolf. The more growth the better. Combing against the grain then combing with the grain followed by a hard brush session. Seems simple, but I have did some damage the first few attempts. I personally do NOT recommend this method for novice or beginner wavers.

I still have a lot of gains to achieve and several hours of repair brushing sessions because I’m lazy and forgetful. But still spinning my guy.

No Shave November

Yes, it’s that time of year again.

Most people only know of “No Shave November” as a month of growing a scruffy beard or not having to go to the barbershop for a month. Well I’m here to remind you of it’s true purpose.

First let me say to all those who lost a love one to cancer I am sorry for your lost. And to all those fighting the battle with cancer be strong, fight long and never give up.

No Shave November is to bring awareness to all those battling cancer. During the month of November you are suppose to refrain from your normal haircare routines(not limited by haircuts btw). Then at the end of the month donating the money you would have used for haircuts and hair products to a cancer institution of your choice. Also allowing to grow your hair wild, free & untamed for those going through chemotherapy and suffering from hair loss, since they cannot grow hair like they could before undergoing treatment. Lastly, going from a normally clean shaven individual to someone who desperately needs a barber is bound to draw questions. Allowing the supporting individual to spread awareness by explaining exactly what “No Shave November” is and stands for. It is more than just growing a beard or skipping the barber chair for 4 weeks.

Too often I see Tguys and OneGender guys boast about their beard gains but not acknowledging those fighting for their lives in a battle with cancer or paying respect to those who lost their battle. It upsets me that most of these men don’t know why “No Shave November” was started and fall into the band wagon and just “stop shaving for a month”.

Please stop making this a fad, do your research, and support the cause wholeheartedly.

No, seriously I was “that guy” for a while. Only recently have I come to terms b with the fact I am a whole different person. Like seriously, I’m an entirely different kind of man now. I mean that in the most brutally honest way with myself.

My whole attitude and outlooks on certain subjects have changed. It’s great to know I’m still evolving 😊. I had started to feel old and stagnant m looking back and hearing what the old me has done, said and felt; I have grown into a wiser, calmer more open minded and thoughtful man. 

I was an ignorant arrogant mofo not too long ago..

I speak different. I react different. I even think different now. 😊

I noticed as I evolved mentally I also began to grow physically. I started to stand up more up right my chest widened and got broader. I gained happy weight (but in muscle). Once I came to terms with the hereditary fact that I will most likely never be in the full Rick Ross beard gang. My baby goatee started to come through. Awee 😍 ” look at it, all barely connecting and shit”. Still gains for me. Some how me changing on the inside helped me change on the outside. Wowwww .

Week 2 of FitnessΒ 

🀞

Last week was easy so I decided to kick it up a level. Also I’m doing this blog at the end of the week instead of the beginning.

I’m excited to be documenting this fitness #restart . Last week I felt the ache in arms mainly my biceps. So this week I switched it up and added diamond push ups in the arm & chest sets. Even tho this week’s target area is legs & glutes.

I had a hard time figuring out how to work the target muscles. So I ended up doing squats and lunges. Not sure if this is really going to lead to any gains but it was worth a shot.

I notice I have gained about a half inch in my chest, I can see more definition and I’m pretty sure I strain less when lifting heavy objects (could just be in my mind).

Haven’t had a chance to step on a scale yet but my target goal is 160lbs and I’m probably about 15lbs short of my goal. 

So why am I here blabbing on… Later gym rats!

360 fail; BUT, bounce backΒ 

So basically for the last 4 weeks I have have no gains and no training. My hair has basically been doing what ever it wants like it ain’t got no damn home training..πŸ˜’

BUT..   NO MORE!

I have all of my necessary things  (now) needed to train and maintain my 360 waves. I have come too far to give up now.

So now I get to see how long it take for my hair to bounce back. I’m assuming 14 – 21 days because I want to believe it wasn’t that much damage and it can be undone relatively easily. 

Texture is obedient with the right amount of supervision… Kinda like me 😊

So it’s time for some ultimate training. I’m talking hand cramps and carpel tunnel. Tender scalps & worn out brushes. 2x the training, 4x the brush sessions. Do I here a 14 day brushing montage???πŸ€”

Lets talk HOW DO YOU STAY ON SCHEDULE ?*#WhatsUpIman

Hey readers welcome back to another written edition of  #WhatsUpIman
So today’s question was “How do you stay on schedule being super busy?”… πŸ€” I’m pretty sure this was a sarcastic question because I’m rarely on time to most things & I am often heavily over booked.

But the question was humorous in itself so I figured why not share my secrets ha ha.

So recently I have gone from doing basically nothing besides smoking pot and making memories to working 50hrs a week Mon-Sat and traveling every weekend. Still making adjustments but this new Moto Android phone already equipped with this nifty Google Assistant is basically keeping my life from complete unruly chaos as far as scheduling, tasks & reminders and also has all these cool tips that I’m still learning. I am learning her and she is proving to be quite predictive and seems to be learning alot of my patterns and habits…. Guess that’s what they mean by “Smart Phone”

Eventually I may upgrade to an actual PDA but most likely I will just go with some type of Echo or Alexa or other voice operated device of that sort.

So this is a 2 for 1 blog…😊✊

I am also going to do a mini (written only) review on the Google Assistant feature.

Not really sure how to rate an “app” but here’s a little of my experiences vs expections…

So when I first purchased my phone and realized that it was equipped with GA I was slightly intrigued because the prompts were simple and easy to follow. I am also a big fan of anything voice commanded. 

GA seems to be compatible with just about everything I install on my phone so I’m assuming is moreso the phone which pretty cool. It goes beyond the “okay Google” I was used to in previous phones. (It’s been at least 5-6 months since I have had a fully functional cell phone.

I was expecting GA to just be another preloaded system on my phone I was going to have to bare with until I figured how to uninstall it.

My experience with GA was weird at first with random but not so random weather updates and live traffic notifications. But being able to basically ask GA anything & voice setting reminders are a life saver. 

The most useful part of GA for me is the calendar assistance. Awesome feature takes goals I have for myself like working out, editing videos, writing blogs, staying in touch with people etc and finds appropriate available times for me to accomplish said goals. Even better it becomes predictive and proactive about rearranging my schedule automatically.

The most interesting thing GA does to me is; since I travel quite often it combines pictures, videos, places been, people seem etc and puts cute little titles on it like “Weekend in Burlington” or “trip to Philly & Long island”.

Overall for a constantly overbooked and forgetful type guy this Google Assistant is a helpful hand; proven time and time over to be exactly what I need.

Oh and when I tell her thank you she responds with your welcome… You can’t even get that from some people nowadays.

Failing at HRT, again x6 maybe 7..

But this time it’s not totally my fault..

Ok, well maybe it is..πŸ€”

So as you know by now I have relocated to upstate NY which means I SHOULD switch my PCP to a new doctor and pharmacy in the area. And herein lies the problem; I had just found a doctor a liked. My original plan was to keep my same physician in the Bronx and just go once a month to refill my prescription and get blood work done. Then I started thinking, well that isn’t very smart. Which it still doesn’t seem to be. But I really rather not go through that aniexty of a new office, nurses and physician. So it may not be the smartest or cheapest way; but it is (what seems to be) the least stressful option.

Iman is a habitual procrastinator. Iman has problems making appointments. Iman has his priorities all mixed up..maybe..

So long story short I have yet to either switch to a new PCP or to see my old one and fill my prescription. So now am behind on my therapy…. Yet again. In my defense however; my stress & aniexty are still high from the move, new surrounds, new job, new everyday life. Not to mention working 6 days a week 50+ hrs & traveling every weekend, I have only had 1 or 2 chances to do either. We all know it takes me a few times to actually jump off the porch.

Lately I seem to have been doing better at adjusting and this should only be the only week I miss. Next weekend is self-care and I will be taking some down time to really recharge and relax. Life got overwhelming for a minute.

But I brought up this “fail” (again) at HRT because this time I do have a few changes to announce some good some bad. 

If you are up to date then you are aware that my dosage has changed again, this time amount and administration. Currently I am on .50 subcutaneous weekly injections in the fatty tissue of my belly.

So immediatly following the first week of the shot I experienced a 100% in my sex drive and overall physical stamina and endurance. Followed by a lost of appetite, which is weird because the actual amount of food I could consume in one sitting drastically increased.

Rounding my second weekly injections I starting experience “growing pains” in my muscles in my chest and upper back before I started my home work out routine.

After the first few days following my missed shot I started experiencing mood swings, a decrease in sex drive and an increase in appetite.

I don’t know exactly why third time in therapy it seems to be such drastic and apparent changes but I would like to assume that it’s because I switched from intramuscular to subcutaneous; I have absolutely no facts or proff of that, besides my gut feeling and know how my body normally reacts to therapy.

Hopefully this is the last missed shot and the last restart of HRT. With me, we can only hope for the best πŸ˜‚πŸ€ž

Fright Fest !!! πŸŽƒ First time in New Jersey

It’s the weekend so you know what means…

Iman is on the move, again.

So this weekend adventure is a two-fer. My first time in New Jersey and my first time at Fright Fest. So I left work about an early to catch my 4 hour bus ride to NYC (let’s hope for the best). And tomorrow morning I’ll be back on a bus heading to New Jersey for an entire day at Six flags Great Adventure theme park.

I haven’t been to a Six flags in easily over a decade and a half. I haven’t been on a rollercoaster in 2 years (counting the up and down thingy at the aquarium when I was in Houston). Let’s hope I don’t toss my cookies, pass out or shit my pants. Or go into cardiac arrest cause sometimes I forget how old I am πŸ˜‚.

Nervousness, aniexty, excitement are a few emotions I can currently pin point.. but then again I’ve been pretty scattered brain all day yesterday

πŸ€”I did have a latte instead of coffee this morning… I usually only have lattes on Sundays..

So the Fascination Sleeve stand alone is basically what’s available in the hard textures of gendercat’s packers… But stand alone. Fits in your hand. 

The best part of this new invention is it’s dual purpose also acting as a pumping device. The ridges in the inside combined with suction is similar to the well known Fleshlight in comparison.  It currently comes in 2 sizes small and large. Available in a wide range of colors including skin tones. 

I personally enjoy the new stand alone fascination sleeve. I quickly outgrew the smaller size and had to upgrade to a large. But no complaints there. No pain even after extensive use(not that I’m recommending that) and it has also increased my stamina now that my penis is becoming use to direct stimulation.
