First 6 months in my new apartment

Well well, never thought I’d get this far…

Let’s just say I’m like an adult cat , I can probably take care of myself but someone should be around.

This is the first time that I have lived alone for longer than two weeks in almost in a decade. I usually end up with a roommate or a partner. Yes I am aware I have dependency issues. Anywho, I am remarkable proud of myself for holding my own for this long without adult supervision.

Especially losing my job so suddenly back in late December. With less than $500 in savings I was pretty worried. I don’t normally live above my means anyways. But I did manage to let somethings go that weren’t necessities, like Netflix & my Xbox Game Pass. I work weird hours now so I don’t really have time for all that anyways.

Slipping into a slight depressive state for a  few weeks the end of January; jet lag from all the mistakes I made in 2017 most likely. I kept my mind and my apartment clean so and I’m doing much better.

Still have yet to seek out a physician to get back into therapy. But I’m still recovering from having to go through 3 different doctors in a year. My anxiety isn’t exactly telling me it’s a priority.

I’ve even used the open floor plan of my place to my advantage in my healthy living goals. I’ve been able to do more advanced at home work outs and even do a little yoga once in a while.

Over all I am very proud of myself 😊

“Wonder if you are too…”

90 days in Dryden.

It seems like so much longer than that…

Only because I’ve done so much since September. Several trips to NYC, a few trips to Philly, a road trip to Vermont & solemn return home. Conferences, marches, birthdays, funerals, vacations, just becauses. My travels over the last 3 months were strenuous, interesting, enjoyable and even heartbreaking.

I’ve had ups and downs. Ha ha’s and oh shit’s. But still the end of 2017 was better than the beginning of it and for that I am totally grateful.

My 360 wave journey has been a rough one but as it should be I hate dealing with my hair. I wanted to get a little more in shape and bulk up a little but… holidays 🀦. In good news in these few months I’ve got to try something amazing products and I can’t wait to see what type of Christmas goodies I get.

I didn’t think I would like this small village… Jury is still out, but I don’t hate it.

Here’s to new beginnings πŸ’―πŸ’―

28 day plank challenge

Still attempting to make this body sexy…

So it’s been a few weeks since I started my fitness routine, sorry I didn’t post more updates.

But recently I’ve been hearing about this 30 day plank challenge ; and I’ve seen some pretty good results. A know all too well about the “front leaning rest position” all too well. πŸ™„ Thanks to an alphabetical battle buddy in BCT.

I’ve decided to do less upper body and core training during this time so I can see if this challenge will work for me.

So basically the 28 plank challenge is exactly what it reads. A month of daily planking with 2 rest days. For those who don’t kno what planking is , in layman’s terms; it’s holding still in the push up position engaging your core muscles. Keeping your back straight.

Beginners usually plank anywhere from 10-30 seconds at a time. It can be quite a stretch to plank for a full 60 seconds if you have a weak core.

The thing I love most about core and ab exercises is they can literally be done daily with out the high risk of tearing and hyperflexion. Yeah you’ll get sore but no pain no gain. The interesting thing about planking to me is the vast amounts of muscle groups it targets and works on uses virtually no movement and provides resistance by using your own body weight.

Here’s to the next 28 days of daily planking.

Feel free to try this challenge with me 😎

Week 2 of FitnessΒ

🀞

Last week was easy so I decided to kick it up a level. Also I’m doing this blog at the end of the week instead of the beginning.

I’m excited to be documenting this fitness #restart . Last week I felt the ache in arms mainly my biceps. So this week I switched it up and added diamond push ups in the arm & chest sets. Even tho this week’s target area is legs & glutes.

I had a hard time figuring out how to work the target muscles. So I ended up doing squats and lunges. Not sure if this is really going to lead to any gains but it was worth a shot.

I notice I have gained about a half inch in my chest, I can see more definition and I’m pretty sure I strain less when lifting heavy objects (could just be in my mind).

Haven’t had a chance to step on a scale yet but my target goal is 160lbs and I’m probably about 15lbs short of my goal.

So why am I here blabbing on… Later gym rats!

πŸ’FAN APPRECIATION GIVE AWAYS !!!

Hey readers, welcome back !!
Today I am here to talk about the FAN APPRECIATION GIVE AWAYS I will be doing every weekend for the month November !!!

I am hosting this via my YouTube channel in celebration and gratitude of all the love and support I have received from my fans since my channel debuted back in late August.

Here’s my most recent video in case you might have missed it:

I wasn’t expecting the amount of people I would reach & would actually be interested and definitely never would have thought I would have this much support and such awesome fans.

600+ views & 60+ subscribers !!!!

You all are awesome and I appreciate everyone πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—πŸ’.

Soooo… to show my appreciation I am giving a #IAmIman T-shirt (with my cool new custom made logo) to an awesome fan once a week, every week in November.

To enter into the give away all you have to do is share the official trailer of my YouTube channel

Click here: … https://youtu.be/ANbg_-Gbr8c … to be brought to the trailer

Multiple entries are allowed with a maximum daily entree of three(3).

You can share the video on many different social platforms, even ones I am not currently on.

I am trying to make these giveaways as simple and user friendly as possible while making in accessible to my fans on every social site. However this is my first give away so please continue to bare with me.

Here is a few ways to share the trailer

Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/imanking

I will try my best to keep in towards the top of my timeline so you can easily find it. Simply find the public status advertising “FAN APPRECIATION GIVE AWAYS” click share , write post, and then tag my facebook account Iman King.

Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/iman_da_god

Probably the easiest way to share and enter the give away. Retweet my current pinned tweet for an entree. Retweet the retweet for multiple entrees. Too bad nobody is on Twitter these days 🀣

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/iman.da.god

Not as simple as Facebook but definitely easy to share and tag. Screenshot the photo of the screenshot of the Facebook status advertising about the “FAN APPRECIATION GIVE AWAYS” (sounds complicated, but it’s not) and post it on your Instagram page. Make sure to tag me or use the hashtag #IamIman. **Remember if your page is private I won’t receive the tag or be able to search the hash tag.

Snapchat – AMOSC: selfmadekris

This may be the most complicated way to enter, but I don’t want to leave my Snapchat fans out. So you can screenshot any advertising from any social platforms (Snapchat included) and post on your story, then take a screenshot of your story and snapchat it to me

And of course to my readers…. You basically have all of those options to choose from.

Any screenshot of sharing the trailer on media sites not mentioned above are still valid but it is only one entree per day. Sorry but this is because I don’t have a way to verify entree on platforms I do not have and I feel like that’s not fair to everyone else.

If you have problems trying to share for a chance to win please let me know on the specific platform you are trying to share and I’ll fix it so it is available. Help me make this run as smooth as possible.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Good luck everyone 🀞 and thanks again for your support it is greatly appreciated 😊.

Lets talk HOW DO YOU STAY ON SCHEDULE ?*#WhatsUpIman

Hey readers welcome back to another written edition of  #WhatsUpIman
So today’s question was “How do you stay on schedule being super busy?”… πŸ€” I’m pretty sure this was a sarcastic question because I’m rarely on time to most things & I am often heavily over booked.

But the question was humorous in itself so I figured why not share my secrets ha ha.

So recently I have gone from doing basically nothing besides smoking pot and making memories to working 50hrs a week Mon-Sat and traveling every weekend. Still making adjustments but this new Moto Android phone already equipped with this nifty Google Assistant is basically keeping my life from complete unruly chaos as far as scheduling, tasks & reminders and also has all these cool tips that I’m still learning. I am learning her and she is proving to be quite predictive and seems to be learning alot of my patterns and habits…. Guess that’s what they mean by “Smart Phone”

Eventually I may upgrade to an actual PDA but most likely I will just go with some type of Echo or Alexa or other voice operated device of that sort.

So this is a 2 for 1 blog…😊✊

I am also going to do a mini (written only) review on the Google Assistant feature.

Not really sure how to rate an “app” but here’s a little of my experiences vs expections…

So when I first purchased my phone and realized that it was equipped with GA I was slightly intrigued because the prompts were simple and easy to follow. I am also a big fan of anything voice commanded.

GA seems to be compatible with just about everything I install on my phone so I’m assuming is moreso the phone which pretty cool. It goes beyond the “okay Google” I was used to in previous phones. (It’s been at least 5-6 months since I have had a fully functional cell phone.

I was expecting GA to just be another preloaded system on my phone I was going to have to bare with until I figured how to uninstall it.

My experience with GA was weird at first with random but not so random weather updates and live traffic notifications. But being able to basically ask GA anything & voice setting reminders are a life saver.

The most useful part of GA for me is the calendar assistance. Awesome feature takes goals I have for myself like working out, editing videos, writing blogs, staying in touch with people etc and finds appropriate available times for me to accomplish said goals. Even better it becomes predictive and proactive about rearranging my schedule automatically.

The most interesting thing GA does to me is; since I travel quite often it combines pictures, videos, places been, people seem etc and puts cute little titles on it like “Weekend in Burlington” or “trip to Philly & Long island”.

Overall for a constantly overbooked and forgetful type guy this Google Assistant is a helpful hand; proven time and time over to be exactly what I need.

Oh and when I tell her thank you she responds with your welcome… You can’t even get that from some people nowadays.

Thanks for reading.

First week of my NEW workout routine

Hey my fitness junkies & gym rats. Welcome.

My mission with this new work out routine is achieve my body goals in 6months no later than the summer of 2018.

Accompanying my *home routine workout is a not so strick healty diet but more importantly self-care. I’m not sure about any of you but nothing, especially nothing new is going to get accomplished in life if I’m not practicing self-care.

So for my first week I am eliminating red meat from my diet and focusing on my target area (Arms & Chest). Since I despise cardio I have instead decided to substitute by taking the stairs whenever possible. Office is on the 3 floor so it seems like an even enough trade off.

So my plan is for the first 3 weeks build my routine from the ground up and find what works for me and what doesn’t. Supposedly to be something like this:

Week 1: Arms & Chest
Week 2: Legs & Glutes
Week 3: Abs & Back

For week one my goal is to do 33 push ups a day, changing the type of push up daily hopefully to hit different muscle groups in that area i.e. close , open , triangle , wide , elevated etc. I choose 33 mainly because 15 is a comfort amount before the muscle group realizes it’s being worked. I can do about 23 in a row before the struggle. Also have to remember that I wanted to set a number realistically possible to reach EVERY day for 7 days IN A ROW. After crunching some numbers and deciding 33 was the easiest to remember and the most attractive number of my options. 20-40.

Honestly readers, I’m not sure how this is going to go; considering my track record πŸ€”. BUT things have been failing into place to maybe a physical fit body and a healthy diet will follow suit. Haven’t decided if I want to do weekly vlog wrap up the fails could make for good footage πŸ˜‚

Wish me luck !!!
